Flint downtown’s is transforming and there’s a relatively new business publication — Downtown Flint Revival Magazine — that’s attempting to chronicle those changes in a positive light.
Bad economic news has made it easier to overlook the many new restaurants and a greater shift toward a college community, says the publication’s editor Dave Crabill in brief video interview about the venture that’s on the front of the website.
“Flint is going through a transition right now as we have more college students and the loft apartments are filling up the whole look and feel of downtown has really changed and I lot of people don’t understand that,” he said. “There’s a lot of great things going on.”
So far, the publication has profiled events such as Great Lakes Male Chorus Association’s concert Saturday at The Whiting to several downtown businesses including Garibella Salon and Timothy’s Pub.
